NEW CAP'N 'MURICA!
ARE YOU FUCKIN HYPED?!
I'm so ready to see this sh*t, been looking forward to Civil War since the first trailer release. If anyone doesn't know, Cap'n is my favorite super hero of all time and Marvel really does him justice in their recent movies.
Anyone else hyped? Have you seen it? Was it good/What are your expectations?
Please no spoilers!

Deadpool is pretty awesome, though he doesn't really have the best of values for a superhero. He's more of a neutral character than a hero.

That's where I think we disagree. I like the Captain because of what he stands for, his beliefs, his story, etc etc. It's not about whether or not they make me laugh or how much of a badass they are, it's more about their character.
It translates more into what kind of person they are than how good their movie is.
But that's just me, plenty of people disagree.

I think you misunderstand why I think he's so awesome. It's not just because he's funny and sarcastic, and breaks the fourth wall (though those are big parts of his personality)
Yes he has weird morals but that just makes him relatable to me. Cap is such a goody goody, lawful good, boring. Yeah, he's a good role model, but I don't see him as having much of a personality. Deadpool is explosive, he don't take sh*t from nobody and when he's set on a task, he'll do anything he needs to. I guess that doesn't make much sense to most people.

I see what you mean and it makes plenty of sense. I shouldn't have assumed why he's your favorite rather than ask why. It's just that most people I deal with who love Deadpool are extremely shallow about it and go "He swears and shoots things huehuehue."

Re: NEW CAP'N 'MURICA!
I'll admit before the movie most of what I knew was; he has the same powers as Wolverine, he's a merc, and he has a tendency to break the forth wall. Which I loved.
But since then I've learned more about him and he is the first Marvel character that's ever mad me wanna go off and read some comics. That makes him a Legend to me.

I'll admit I prefer Cap over Iron Man. He's morally upstanding, he does what he believe is right despite what governments and others says, which would make him more Neutral Good than Lawful Good. Yet he doesn't do it because of an ego, or because he want's to. He does it because he truly believes it is the right thing to do. That's the sort of attitude I try to lean towards with most of my characters, but maybe with a bit more Iron Man flair for dramatics thrown in.
Haven't seen the movie yet, nor have I read the comics but I know the gist of what happens. Looking forward to watching it.
Also, I can see Ryan Reynolds dressing as Deadpool and photo bombing or crashing the film set of a Marvel movie like Civil War or the next Avengers, simply because that is what Deadpool would do and Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool through and through.

Re: NEW CAP'N 'MURICA!
I just feel like Cap is a severely unrealistic personality type, too perfect. Mary Sue-ish. The male equivalent of the ugly ducking. It annoys me.

Re: NEW CAP'N 'MURICA!
They've shown that capn has flaws, big ones. But it's that idealistic character that really draws me to him, particularly with the current actor who portrays him so well. He's not supposed to be average Joe, he's supposed to be captain America, the guy who represents the face of the country and all of its ideals. I personally have a lot of characteristics similar to capn, both because of my upbringing and because of the intense pride I have for my country.
Overall, capn is basically Marvel's version of superman.
