Basically it started on World of Warcraft, where a raid (40 people) were planning on clearing part of a dungeon. One guy said "Alright chums, let's do this. LEEROY, JENKINS!" and ran in. So everyone followed and eventually died. And Leeroy's last words were "At least I have chicken" ... and he is now internet famous (they made his last name Jenkins a achievable title in WoW ... I has it) and so whenever you hear someone scream that name in a dangerous life threatening situation, either run or just stand and watch
