Can I suggest a critter idea? It's called a Bald Griffon Hawk. It is an extremely vicious bird of prey and can mimic songs or words that it hears.

also I like to draw maps and I try make them as detailed as I can (Which isn't that great)
Here's a Map I have up on dA, for all those who haven't seen it already. I've redone it a bit but on a bigger piece of paper so I can't scan it till I find a giant scanner ... but I can take a picture to show everyone ...

Hey, Idea. I've been trying to find something to use this for, since the dA group I did it for closed down. Maybe we can use if for one of theses cities or towns ... if you want ...
