Changelog #7
Its that time again! Time to see what's changed on the forum over the last month!
SO, we'll start with saying a few words about our active members.
inSYNCinSANITY
killer8529
Legotransform
LordTomyh
MrSage
SirSuiji
You guys are awesome! The forum has been successfully up and running for the last five or six months thanks to all of you, and I'd like to thank you for staying active and referring others to the forum.
Now for some upcoming and passed milestones:
-We're rapidly approaching 10,000 posts! And with inSYNC's 15 ppd, we'll reach it in no time (posts per day)
-We've almost hit 100 members as well! Though only a handful have stayed active, or even posted, we're still gaining in our usercount.
-Today, we had the most members online at one time in the history of the forum, a whopping 47 members!? (27/5) While most were guests, I'm sure they enjoyed their time here.
Updated? Oh! Right, the updates...
-The gradient behind the banner has been thinned and darkened slightly.
-The default color of the CSS style buttons (like the Preview and Send buttons) has been changed to match the darker forum theme.
-Changed the Post New Topic and Post Reply buttons, they now match the rest of the buttons.
-Changed the Edit, Quote, and Delete on post buttons.
-Added an announcements spot on the main index page.
-Centered the post profile (I think it looks much better and well organized, took me about three hours to figure it out on my own with no education in CSS )
-Removed the tinychat link in the nav bar (no one was using it while anyone else was on)
So lets look ahead, what's going to happen?
The future of EXRPG is actually looking pretty bright, alot of young people are becoming more and more interested in writing and role play, and I'm sure we'll hit a sweet spot of members joining here in the next month.
But here's what I'm planning for the near future of the forum.
-Adding a domain name (extremerpg.org)
-Selling VIP status (details at bottom of page)
-Adding more awards
-Make a special group of smileys dedicated to the creators of some successful RPGs (tantalizing, no?)
-Design T-Shirts (dead serious here, I think it'd be pretty cool to have an exrpg T, great advertisement and profits too)
-Devour another RPG forum, absorbing their members and taking them as our own.
I think that's it! If you think something should be added, or just want to comment, you know where to do it (HINT: Down below, in the reply box...)
[
VIP Status purchase.
VIP status would be a cheap five dollars (about three pounds)
Rewards and Perks of VIPs:
-Custom user titles (where your posting ranks are)
-Awesome blue name
-Access to VIP forum
-The VIP award
-ExtremeRPG email address (example@extremerpg.com)
-The right to say you're VIP (lol)
If you have ideas for rewards for purchasing VIP, please, comment below.

Re: Changelog #7
Awesome but since I'm new I haven't done much. Just so were clear I don't share an account with Grape, I just keep him updated and he'll ask me if he wants me to say anything on his behalf.

Re: Changelog #7
You would not, as this is a newly implemented rule; and you had VIP long before it. But keep in mind that its still not available yet, it'll be about another week, alot hinges on this domain name :/
Oh, and I also fixed the Lost Count title there is now a picture.

Re: Changelog #7

Re: Changelog #7
You've got a good point there, it also helps to keep people active, just paying five bucks would normally be enough, but if you're genuinely invested in the site, then it'll make is so much sweeter.
I'm going to post a rough draft of the VIP process here in a minute.

Re: Changelog #7
How can I buy if we live in a different country?should I send it to your paypal?
Legotransform- Everlast
Re: Changelog #7
It would be completely over paypal. But I'd rather have members PM me requesting the paypal information, that way I can make sure the person is eligible and that I know who they are before they transfer the moneys.
Damxge- Rook
Re: Changelog #7
Can't you just make a link on the bar to buying VIP?Or if not,I'd like you to PM me your info
Legotransform- Everlast
Re: Changelog #7
I could make it, though I wouldn't know who sent the money unless they sent a note with the money transfer.
I can rig something up I'm sure.
Will PM you.

Re: Changelog #7
Just that on some other sites when you buy membership you just gotta write yo info then you buy it

Re: Changelog #7
Maybe you should run two groups, Vip and donators.
Vip is purely for the hardcore active people (say, 12ppd and at a minimum, 750 posts), and have the donators group run along side that, donators could be purely cosmetic, and vip has a small amount of power (so maybe topic locking or something... nothing over the top...)

Re: Changelog #7
And there inlays the problem, someone can post in the forum games every day and easily get a high ppd, then when they get VIP, they could really screw something up. Forumotion was a crappy choice on Drag's part when he started the forum as it has very little in the way of selective powers. If I added the powers to the VIP group, they would have either the permissions of normal members, or moderators, those are the two options

Re: Changelog #7
Yeah... really shitty choice on drags part... I still can't believe that you can't bugger around with the bb coding... makes your achievement system pretty alien to newcomers XD
Chavvy- Dreamcatcher
Re: Changelog #7
Yeah, its a pain in my arse, and its not like people haven't suggested making it so you can edit the bbcoding, tons have suggested it on the forums, and the support just ignores it.
Damxge- Rook
Re: Changelog #7
I guess.
I looked into an offsite bb proxy deal a while ago, but it didn't work on the forum. I might put more effort into it here pretty soon.
