ExRPG Web Publishing
Title says it all. I'm considering setting up a website with a collection of .pdf and various reader files of books written by non professional authors (and professional ones as well lol)
The basic price would be five dollars per copy, and unlike most of the publishing houses, the author would get half of the money for each sale, the other half would be used for forum maintenance and website upkeep.
This is a big thing, especially since the forum isn't as popular as it should be for an attempt such as this, but I feel that it could really draw in some great writers if they partner up with ExRPG publishing.
And, should the business be successful, it could progress into an actual publishing house.
So, discuss and such.

sounds brilliant ^^
how're you going to find enough people to give you their books?

Re: ExRPG Web Publishing
Deviantart is jammed full of people with finished books looking for publicity and attention. I figure I can start out with roughly fifty independently written books, and go from there.

@Sage, thank you
@Killerzor, PM me if any are on board. I'm going to begin working on the website and trying to scrounge up some scripts here over the next month. It should be online in roughly three months...

It is far from done, I'm still working on the basic styling of it.

Re: ExRPG Web Publishing
There will be a section for literotica, yes. Though there must be a storyline behind it, it can't be simply all sex.
I'm in the process of writing the terms of publish.

Re: ExRPG Web Publishing
Of course, a simple age form and 'I agree that I am eighteen years or older' checkbox will do the trick.
So I'm rather unhappy that I've been using tables to format the page, come to find out, its extremely limited. So I'll be redoing the whole thing using instead; just as soon as I figure out how to use it :/

You'll get it in the end, just keep thinking about the end product

Re: ExRPG Web Publishing
So this idea is changing. I was talking with a friend of mine while I was working on some css, and she pointed out to me, that I do not own the rights to exrpg.
This is a problem because, should the site become successful once finished, Drag could legally have be shut it down, or hand it over entirely to him. And while I know Drag is a cool guy and wouldn't do something like this, it is a huge threat to something that I've been working on for over a year. (that's right, I've had the idea and been thinking on it for quite some time,) Another possibility is that he coule trademark ExRPG and I would have to change a crapload of coding and such to separate the website so that I wouldn't have to hand it over to Drag.
I do hope that you don't take this the wrong way, Drag. You're a cool guy and a good online friend, but I have to be careful when dealing with things like this since there is so much on the line, and the possibility of the site becoming a business.
The new publishing website will be partnered with ExRPG since I have access to so much here, though it will be a completely different entity.
And that brings me up to date. What do I call it, and what should the color scheme be.
Please suggest.
(8-Bit Independent Publishing was already on my head, but I'd like a community driven option)
