Kay, well, O is the universal blood type. It can be transfused into any other blood type and is kept in reserves for emergency shortages of other blood types. You can read some cited work below if you care.

Ah huh... Yeah, turns out I'm O-
I was I little disappointed because that means my plasma donations can only ever go to other people wit O- blood and I can only receive O- blood!
But yes, my blood can go to everyone Happy

Tbf, Ive never donated blood. Not because I don't want to, its more to do with that you cant donate here if you've had a tattoo in a certain amount of time (think its 6 months?), and I'm still pretty consistant with having sessions... so its probably not gonna happen for a while yet :/

Tattoos is what delayed me intially from donating when I turned 18, but I haven't been able to afford any in years so I might as well.
It's gonna suck when I finally get one because it mean I'll miss out on 2 blood donations (and 10 plasma donations)
