Depending how you're constructing the next theme would depend on my choice. If the banner is staying that colour, Id stick with the first one, if its going to go more grey like that new backer (thanks for that btw, its gonna save me a fortune in paracetamol ;D), then I'd go with the second one. Like Conor said, theres just too much glow on that last one Mooblips

Its looking awesome imo, think just something needs doing with the top bar where your new logo is, and its good to go!

Maybe with the green a little texture on that background and keep the fade... maybe a bit of clouding would do the trick Mooblips

The background for the header is extremely tricky because it's tiling. I'm not sure if it resizes or not, so a fully tailored image might f*** up the theme. I'm going to have a look at the css and see what I can see.
